Vehicles and self introduction

[Self introduction]
I bought a big bike and used it to go everywhere, but I wanted to have a small bike for riding and I chose to have a powerful 2st.

Bought it used. The cowl was painted with black spray paint, so I decided to repaint it properly. At the time of purchase, the under cowl was also missing, so I got a set of older cowls (used, of course) to renew the image, and tried to see how clean I could make it with canned spray.

Customization of the particulars

[Directionality]
The goal is to improve performance without sacrificing durability, but this time it’s only painting, so it’s not about performance.
In order to make it look as close as possible to the real car (racer), I will try to reproduce the sponsor stickers including the Repsol mark.

[Points that I think are cool]
First of all, its presence. It looks like a joke, but it has high performance.

[Points of change in performance]
None in particular. But it’s just looks, and I think that’s pretty important on a bike like this.

Custom Points

The only thing you need to prepare for painting is spray paint. Other than that, masking tape is a minimum requirement. If you use fliers to cover the parts you don’t want to paint, the worst thing you can do is transfer them to the cowl with solvent (been there).

The sponsor stickers were also sized from their original size by utilizing a reduced and enlarged copy.

Paste the photocopied paper directly onto the masking tape and lightly cut it off with a sharp cutter like a design knife for a clean paint job.

Even if there are some streaks (scratches) on the cowl, there is no problem if it is painted.

In addition, I didn’t use the Bibendum in the photograph.

In order to make it more similar to the real car than the commercial sticker tune, I reproduced all of them by painting, although it is quite time-consuming.

Since the car body is 3/4 size, the stickers need to be trimmed and sized slightly to make them look too big and oddly toy-like as is.

Customization that I want to do in the future

Unfortunately, for reasons of convenience, I have moved on to another vehicle and have no plans for future customization.

Thank you, Commuters, for participating in our custom bike contest!
