A brief self-introduction

I’m riding a fairly old VT250 Sparda, modifying it to my liking.
Basically, I’m a stock lover, so I won’t make any major modifications that would compromise the rideability of the car.
We will not reduce durability, but will actively seek to change the components as soon as we have more powerful ones.

A brief description of this HACK

This is the replacement of the setting bolt for the rear cowl of VT250 Sparda.
There are a few Honda bikes from this era that use a little bit of a Phillips screw to drive the bolt head, but
One such bolt is the rear cowl fixing bolt on the Spurda. These bolts, which are not frequently attached and removed, often stick lightly.
When you try to remove it with a Phillips screwdriver, the groove in the head collapses rather easily, as shown in the photo, and even rust comes out from it.

So I replaced it with the hexagonal bolts that are used on modern bikes. This way, even if it’s a little bit tight, there’s not much to worry about as long as the tool is set properly.

You’ll need an Allen wrench to remove the other bolts.

Just remove the original bolt and replace it. It is large and slightly rubs against the cowl grooves, so we recommend wiping the cowl clean and then slowly screwing it in.

The bolts for the CBR1100XX Blackbird are elaborately shaped like the external ones since the car is made exclusively for them, down to a single bolt. And yet, it has the security of a genuine product.

Even the smaller bolts commonly used for Honda cowl vehicles (see photo) can be used interchangeably because the shaft thickness is the same.
The same is true for the lack of anxiety with removal, but for all intents and purposes, the bolt heads are much smaller than the cowl recesses, so it doesn’t feel like a snug fit, and it’s a bit cheap.

The heads of these bolts can be turned with an Allen wrench, so you don’t have to worry about licking them like the stock plus head bolts do. This is a recommended modifier because it gives a high quality look and feel.
