About the vehicle
KAWASAKI GPZ900R A12 (1999 domestic specifications)
Bought used in 2009, 11 years old in 2020, almost 50,000km!
The usual touring style
Day touring and camping touring mainly.
Annual mileage: about 2,000-3,000km and I’m still raising my child, so I haven’t been able to drive the distance.
What I enjoy about touring.
It’s fun to flush the passes down the road and take a hot spring bath. Long tours with a load of camping gear are great.
(I’d love to visit Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku again!
I prefer the campground right near the hot springs. It’s a great place to eat, drink beer, and soak in the hot springs.
Favorite Spot
Biei, Furano, Kushiro Marsh, and Aso: Great scenery!
Nyuto Onsen and Kurokawa Onsen: You will want to take a bath in various hot springs.
Oshika Peninsula: the winding is nice.

Useful uses and favorite points
Usual use
Used as a replacement for the rear panniers when camping and touring. 30 litre capacity allows you to put in a shrug, inflatable mat, tent, etc. that you don’t want to get wet. Load it with a complete set of sleeping quarters and sleeping gear.
When we get to the campsite, we first remove the RV box, set up the tent & prepare the sleeping quarters, and then put the rear bag of luggage into the tent.
Removal is the opposite of that.
Useful tips and tricks
Not only can it be used as a pannier replacement for your luggage, but it can also be used as a table at the campsite. It can be used as a table that is just the right height for a low chair.
Recommendations.
The key is attached, so it is effective for security while touring. As for the loading to the bike, the belt hole is attached to the box, and it is fixed there through the rubber belt.
Panniers are expensive and heavy, and they don’t quite fit on a table, whereas RVBOX is cheap, light, and can be used as a table in a campground, so it’s very convenient and useless.
